It's the only way to remember Upton Park.

Make sure you get a couple of stadium foam hands for the new place.

Just booked and they appear to be half price now. Assume certain bits are out of bounds for us as well.

Lewisham,

I know who you're talking about. She's still with us, still a steward, her name is Gwen.

Re: Stadium Tours
booked mine 2 months to coincide with a night in the hotel, had an email Friday to say that the changing rooms and pitch part in now no longer available as these areas are being used ( getting more money from else were) instead I get half my money back and as an extra the managers office ,

Re: Stadium Tours
Went last Thursday AM.
Still carnage after Tuesday night, which was ideal....changing rooms not cleared etc.
Found it a lovely way to take in the place and the memories a last time.
Lucky to have been a guest of Hayden Mullins a couple of times in the past, so most was familiar but a worthwhile way to have a personal goodbye.
Getting on the pitch frowned upon but not impossible.
Also the subject of Bobby Moore time capsule buried under the stand was raised.
If found it really has to be reburied in the "Bobby Moore Quiet Place" planned for the site of the centre circle.

If like me you were trying to book a tour for the kids and wondered why there were no dates available in the half term holiday there are now loads of additional dates - Holidays, evenings and weekends - now available.

Interestingly when I emailed the ticket office last week to point out they were missing a trick with the absence of school holiday dates and ask if any more were planned I was told no!

Thanks for the heads up. Booked for me and no.2 son early May.

Strange that there don't seem to be any in school holidays or had those already been up and sold out?

Re: Stadium Tours
Did mine last month the day we played Norwich away. Had a cheeky pint in the bar next to the main reception before leaving as well.

Really enjoyed it. You can see a lot of the West Stand inside is quite dated now in a late 90's sort of way with yellow/orange wall paper everywhere. I'd already been given a personal tour a few years ago when changing my season ticket seat and a lovely old lady asked if I wanted to see the changing rooms. She said she'd worked at Upton Park since she was a teenager and was head stewardess in charge of the away end. This was a good 9 years ago now so with all due respect she is probably no longer with us god bless her.
